400N 2Nm Axial Torsion Test System
Introduction
- Axial Torsion test system is an all-electric test equipment designed for dynamic and static testing on a wide range of materials and components. The test system is designed to test the materials under various testing environments such as under magnetic influence, Bioreactor etc.
- The test system consists of a portable Servo Electric Actuator setup which can be positioned and adjusted as per requirement, which enables the system to be versatile.
- Different types of control modes such as load, displacement and strain control are possible. Each system is equipped with state-of-the-art BISS make controller with feedback channels for logging and monitoring outputs from strain gages, extensometers, and COD gages.
Purpose of the test system
- The purpose of the Axial Torsion test system is to perform dynamic and static testing with precision displacement control and accurate force measurements on a wide range of materials and components. The versatile design offers flexibility for testing materials, electronic components and for tissue engineering applications.
- The standard configuration of the test system includes a set of grips and fixtures mounted on to actuator ends on either side of the testing area. The load frame is designed to accommodate an electro-magnetic unit in between the two actuators. The fixtures are specifically designed to be accommodated within the confined space of the electro-magnetic unit and is unaffected by the magnetic influence.
- For testing of materials without the Electro-magnetic unit, a lightweight yet stiff base plate is provided which can be easily mounted on the load frame. The portable Servo Electric Actuator setup can then be easily installed on the base plate to perform various tests as required.
- The test system serves a platform to perform practically standard tests to characterize mechanical behaviour of materials. The versatile Test Builder application enables highly customized experiments required of cutting-edge experimental research. Provided testing is restricted to the maximum force rating of 400N lateral and 2Nm Torsional load application.
