Once the project has kick-started, it is time to organize and systematize work. For this purpose the team is split into various subsystems. Typically 5 subsystems are essential for obtaining a working satellite:
- Payload Subsystem
- Mechanical Subsystem
- Electrical Subsystem
- Attitude Determination and Control Subsystem
- Communications Subsystem
