project executed by Prof. K.S.R.K.Prasad , Department of Aerospace Engineering.,
IIT Powai, Bombay, for ADA, DRDO, MINISTRY OF DEFENSE, Govt. of INDIA,
at Bangalore during 1990-91.
It Directly operates on Sheet Metal
Components (SMC) Surface Models and produces lofts for bend forming SMCs. It has been
customized for A/c components
like ribs, stringers, spars, bulkheads, etc. and can be easily extended
for industrial application of bend forming process. It has the following
SYSTEM DESIGN : User
Friendly optimized interactions with inbuilt default values, automatic
data checking and minimized input specification with auto indenting facility
for data modification.
INPUT OPTIONS : Available
(with on line help) on Methods, Accuracies/ Speed, Surface code, Process
control, Geometric features and Material characteristics.
POST PROCESSING : Choicest
feature based post processing subsystem support for interactive generation
of tooling holes, don holes, pilot holes, cutout/lug positioning, bend
relief, chamfering and file saving.
Fully Annotated documents dispensing with training requirements are designed
for facilitating easy augmentation / modification.
