Computer Integrated Flattening
A highly specialized consultancy
task executed by Prof. K.S.R.K.Prasad and his team on SPARK SUN-CV Workstation
for ADA, DRDO (1992-93). This facilitates computer-integrated manufacturing
of aircraft Sheet Metal Components (SMC) and comprises of following major
Software Systems intended to generate lofts for SMC manufacture. It has
facilities to transport model and flat pattern on to the shop floor.
CIFTRANS : A CVMAC command system for
SPARK W/s for Geometrical Data Extractions of SMC Surface Models (SMCSM)
and porting the Model + Flat pattern through LAN on to the shop floor PCs.
CIFTRANSCHK : A system designed to
validate the out put of CIFTRANS Extracted Data through appropriately designed
PC DISPLAY : A system designed in Turbo-C
to display two views (including ISO Metric view) of SMCSMs on the shop
floor together with an associated plane drawing (like Flat Pattern or Nesty
diagram etc.). The screen is essentially designed to interactively perform
multiple tasks with coded commands including View manipulations.
SYMCHK : A preprocessor designed to
perform checks on model to facilitate FP development of Fractional Models
with desired accuracy cutting the developmental cost.
CIFPAC MAIN : is an advanced, enhanced
and totally redesigned UPDATE of CAFPAD with integrated Quality control
CIFPAC-SUB : is a comprehensive system
comprising of CAFPAD subsystems incorporating Chamfering &Double Don holes.
The system is supplied with
APEX EDGE : Designed for SMC Blank
development of angle type components the locus of whose vortices form the
APEX EDGE (a curve in space). It has an accuracy control and integrated
fully automatic edge processing.
An Annotated System Document with extensive details of system design/application
inclusive of scope of further development "OMNI FLAT".
A User Document that dispenses with training by giving annotated iterative
screens with on line help (Ref. CAFPAD doc for features).
