I.)Main Servers
- 1.)10.101.1.1( vayu) This server acts as the main mail server and faculty server of vayu. It has Mail accounts for Faculty, PHD Students and Staff. It has the accounts of all faculty where some of their files like their homepages are stored. It is used by faculty for loging in from outside iit
2.)10.101.1.2( shakti) This server used to be our former main mail server. It has the mail accounts of many students. It has serves the mailling lists like faculty@aero.iitb.ac.in. It has a DNS server for internal use in aero.
- 3.)10.101.1.5(agni) This is our Web Server and proxy server. It has all the website content of aero. It functions as the proxy server for use inside department. It has a sencond DNS for internal use in aero. It has a DHCP server which serves IPs for laptop and other devices.
- 4.)10.101.1.10(pollux) This is our Backup Server It is used to backup important servers. It is configured with Zimbra so that it can be used as the departmental mail server if vayu goes down.
II.)CUDA Servers
- 1.)10.101.1.13(Orion) This is a CUDA computing server It has 4 Tesla CUDA cards. This is used for High performance computing for Aero.
2.)10.101.1.14(Canis) This is a CUDA computing server It a has a GeForce GTX 470 CUDA Card. This is used for High performance computing for Aero.
3.)10.101.1.15(Draco) This is a CUDA computing server It a has a GeForce GTX 470 CUDA Card. This is used for High performance computing for Aero.
III.)Clusters
- 1.)10.101.2.15(nebula) This is one of our departmental clusters. It has one main node and 20 compute nodes (total 21). It is used for High Performance Computing for Aero.
IV.)Serial Servers
- These are server class machines with good CPU and memory. They are used for High Performance Computing for Aero.

V.)Miscellaneous Servers
1.)10.101.4.4(strider) This is the Aero SysAd PC. It serves the FTP server for Aero. It has a DHCP server which serves IPs for laptop and other devices. It works as a proxy auto-configuration server.
