Seminars and Lectures
The LTA team headed by Prof. Rajkumar S. Pant has been carrying out research and fabrication of various LTA embodiments and enabling technologies since 2002. Its staff is committed towards motivating students from Institutes across the world to initiate viable research in this field through adequate technical presentations and physical demonstrations. Amidst its endeavour to accomplish global outreach and promote the design and fabrication of these eco-friendly vehicles, the staff of LTA lab have been involved in various seminars involving LTA technolgy development nationally as well as internationally, which are listed below:
A 3-day workshop on design of remotely controlled airships was conducted where the experts from IIT Bombay involved in Airship
design and development demonstrated the process of making an indoor airship using readily available material in a step-by-step
manner. The organizing team fabricated an airship and recorded the whole process for showing it to the workshop participants. The
workshop covered all the steps involved in indoor airship design and fabrication such as constraints identification, sizing, design,
fabrication, integration, flight, and safety. The participants were provided with an MS Excel program to try the sizing, airship, and
petal design process themselves. The workshop featured an introductory talk by Prof. Barry Prentice from the University of Manitoba
on the first day. More details and the recordings from the workshop can be found at the following links:
