INSTRON 5KN LOW FORCE TEST SYSTEM (BI-7207)
Introduction
Low force servo electric test systems have a force capacity ranging from 2 kN to 10 kN These test systems are useful for testing materials under room temperature and high temperature. For elevated temperature testing, up to or more than 1000 °C, different types of furnaces that can be integrated with the machine are available; also available are environmental chambers that are useful over the temperature range of -80 to +350 °C.
Tension, compression, Low-cycle fatigue, and High cycle fatigue behaviour of materials can be evaluated following the standards such as ASTM and ISO; fracture and fatigue crack growth behaviour can also be evaluated. Different types of control modes such as load, displacement and strain control are possible. Each system is equipped with state-of-the-art BISS make controller with feedback channels for logging and monitoring outputs from strain gages, extensometers, and COD gages.
Purpose of the test system
The standard configuration of the test system includes a set of various grips and fixtures. A wide choice of application software can be ordered with the test system. These include conventional static tension and compression, low and high-cycle fatigue, fracture mechanics and fatigue crack growth.
The test system serves a platform to perform practically standard tests to characterize mechanical behaviour of materials. The versatile Test Builder application enables highly customized experiments required of cutting-edge experimental research provided testing is restricted to the maximum force rating of 10 kN vertical top load application.
