Shortlisting criteria

All the candidates meeting the eligibility criteria mentioned in the information brochure (A.5 and B.1) will be shortlisted for the interview. There is NO written test for this admission cycle.

Admission Procedure Outline:

 

  1. General information regarding the Ph.D. admission

  • Please visit the IIT Bombay Ph.D. admission website for detailed information about the admission process.
  • Please see the faculty information slides below to get an idea of potential topics on which Ph.D. research can be pursued.
  • You will be directed to different interview panels based on the choice of specializations listed in your application.
  • You may be considered for an interview in other specializations based on the primary panel(s) recommendations.
  • Note that there are no RA seats in our department for admissions.

 

  1. INTERVIEWS FOR FINAL SELECTION:

  • Candidates invited for the interview will receive an e-mail with the date, time, and link(s) to join the online meeting.
  • The duration of each interview is approximately 10 min to 30 min.
  • Final results will be declared by the IIT Bombay academic office.
